GENERAL ZOO ENTRY
Please respect our animal’s welfare and your safety by observing the below code of conduct.
- Barriers in the zoo are for your own safety and for the welfare of the animals. Please do not step over any of the fences or bang on windows at exhibits.
- Please do not feed the animals as they all have carefully planned diets and other food may be harmful to them.
- For safety reasons we do not allow barbeques, balls or balloons in the park.
- The use of radios, scooters, rollerblades or skates is not permitted in the park.
- ‘Heelys’ roller shoes must not be used as skates, but may be worn as shoes.
- Bicycles are not allowed within the zoo. However there is a bike rack, please ask staff where to store bikes safely.
- Permission must be obtained for all filming and photography for commercial purposes.
- Children under 16 will not be admitted without an adult over the age of 18 and must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
- No animals, other than fully trained Assistance Dogs, are allowed in the zoo. You will need to complete the relevant paperwork and provide documentation before we will permit entry.
- Do not leave valuables in your car.
- Please do not leave dogs unattended in your vehicles, especially on hot days.
- If you wish to return to your car after entering the zoo, please inform the staff at the Information Desk and retain your original receipt to regain entry for that day.
- Parking at Morrisons supermarket is at your own risk. Paignton Zoo is not affiliated in any way with Morrisons. They have a strict parking policy and will enforce it.
- The use of drones and other flying objects is prohibited.
DAY TICKETS
- Visitors are strongly advised to book online to secure choice of date and great savings. Online prices are not available at the tills. You can purchase day tickets here.
- You must inform our Information Desk on the day should you have any pricing or ticketing issues.
- All admission tickets are non-refundable.
- For a guest with a disability, one free carer is permitted entry free of charge and a form of ID such as a Blue Badge, PIP, Access card or DLA letter must be presented on the day of your visit. The free carer offer is only valid with child (3-15 yrs) and adult tickets.
- We reserve the right to refuse entry.
- We reserve the right to ask a visitor to leave the site should their behaviour be unacceptable or be putting another visitor at risk.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS E-TICKETS PAIGNTON ZOO
- These general terms and conditions are applicable to all offers and agreements of Libéma Zoo PG Operations Ltd with regard to the sale and purchase of e-tickets for admission to Libéma Zoo PG Operations Ltd hereinafter referred to as: Paignton Zoo).
- Paignton Zoo has its registered office at Totnes Road, Paignton, Devon, TQ4 7EU and is registered with the Companies House under number 16823534.
- Paignton Zoo reserves the right to amend these general terms and conditions. By placing an order via the webshop, you accept the offer of Paignton Zoo.
Conclusion of the agreement
The e-ticket purchase agreement between you and Paignton Zoo is concluded by fully and correctly following and completing the booking process on the website of Paignton Zoo. As soon as Paignton Zoo has received the total price owed for the e-tickets purchased by you, it will send the confirmation of your order to the email address specified by you. Paignton Zoo uses the payment environment of DNA Payments Limited (hereinafter: DNA Payments) for the sale and payment of its e-tickets in the webshop. When paying for the order you have the choice between various payment methods. Once your payment has been verified, we will be informed that the order has been paid. The purchase amount is immediately debited and charged.
Correct details
You are personally responsible for correctly and fully entering your details when ordering the e-ticket. Providing incorrect or incomplete details may result in your desired e-ticket not being sent. In such a situation, Paignton Zoo is not obliged to pay any compensation to you.
E-tickets
Your e-ticket has a unique barcode. This barcode will be scanned at the entrance to Paignton Zoo. Each e-ticket may only be used once. Each e-ticket has a period of validity/expiry date. The e-ticket is not valid outside this period/date. When leaving Paignton Zoo, but in any case, at closing time of Paignton Zoo on the day of your visit, the validity of the e-ticket will expire, as well as unused components of any package. The e-ticket must be shown at the request of an employee of Paignton Zoo. Resale, use for commercial purposes and/or counterfeiting of e-tickets is not permitted.
Admission with e-tickets
An e-ticket is only valid in the case of a good-quality print on paper (colour or black and white) of if the e-ticket is displayed on the screen of a mobile telephone or tablet and the barcode can be scanned. E-tickets whose barcode cannot be scanned, for example because the paper on which the e-ticket is printed is damaged or folded, or because the barcode is otherwise illegible or only partially visible, are not valid and do not grant admission to Paignton Zoo. In such a situation, Paignton Zoo is not obliged to pay any compensation to you.
Cancellation
The e-ticket purchase agreement may not be terminated by you. E-tickets will not be taken back by Paignton Zoo, will not be exchanged for money and will not be replaced with another admission ticket. The period of validity/expiry date specified on the e-ticket will not be extended by Paignton Zoo.
Technical fault
Paignton Zoo is not liable for the damage that you suffer in the event that your order cannot be completed, processed and/or authorised, or cannot be completed, processed and/or authorised correctly or in time, as a result of a technical fault of whatever nature. In such a situation, Paignton Zoo is not obliged to pay any compensation to you.
Park Regulations
In addition to the general terms and conditions for e-tickets, the park regulations are also applicable to the e-ticket purchase agreement. By entering Paignton Zoo, you declare that you agree to these park regulations. Paignton Zoo reserves the right to amend the park regulations.
Processing personal data
Paignton Zoo processes your personal data carefully and observes the laws and regulations for the protection of personal data. The data that is provided by you during the e-ticket ordering process will only be processed for the performance of the agreement between you and Paignton Zoo and in order to fulfil our legal obligations. The information you provide will be kept on record for as long as necessary for the purpose as described above. The privacy statement of Paignton Zoo is applicable to the processing of personal data. Paignton Zoo uses the services of DNA Payments for the payment of your e-tickets. DNA Payments is the controller in this regard. The processing of personal data by DNA Payments is subject to the privacy statement of DNA Payments.

YEARLY JOINT SITE MEMBERSHIP
- All benefits are subject to change and may be withdrawn at any time.
- An Annual Membership is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, not from date of first visit and cannot be extended under any circumstances.
- Digital photographs will be taken and printed onto individual Membership cards.
- Membership cards are NOT TRANSFERABLE or refundable once purchased.
- Any Membership found to be used fraudulently will be confiscated and not returned or refunded. We reserve the right to cancel a Membership without refund if a Member knowingly allows a third party to use their card.
- When visiting us please ensure you have your Membership card with you. Only the person who is pictured and named on the front of the card can gain access to the zoo.
- To take advantage of your Members’ discounts in the shop and restaurant just show your valid Membership card prior to payment. Unfortunately discounts cannot be given without production of a valid Membership card.
- A Membership does not constitute a full paying adult or child, therefore cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or discounts.
- Any lost, defaced or stolen cards will be cancelled and replaced at a nominal charge of £2 per card.
- If you move house, remember to tell us. This will ensure that you receive your renewal notice.
- Purchasing or renewing a Membership with a disabled concession requires any of the following documents to be shown at time of purchase in order to qualify for the concession; Disability living allowance letter, Blue badge, Access Card or P.I.P payment award documentation. Regrettably we are unable to process your concession without this.
- We reserve the right to close all or part of our zoos as necessary. Closures at short notice will be notified on our Updates page.
- We will not tolerate physical or verbal threats towards its staff. Any Member behaving inappropriately will be denied access to, or be asked to leave the zoo immediately. In these circumstances cancellation of a Membership without refund may result.
OFF PEAK MEMBERSHIP
- This membership is only valid for free entry between 1st September and 31st March and allows free entry for a total of 7 months (in a 12 month period) from the date of purchase. For example, if you purchase your membership on 10th December, it will be valid until the 9th December the following year.
- This membership is not valid for free entry from 1st April – 31st August. If you visit during these months you will be required to pay standard admission price.
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 years old at all times.
- They cannot be extended unless the zoo is closed to visitors for extended periods of time.
- Digital photographs will be taken and printed onto each individual member’s card. Memberships are NOT TRANSFERABLE or refundable once purchased.
- Any membership found to be used fraudulently will be confiscated and not returned or refunded. We reserve the right to cancel any membership, without refund, if a member knowingly allows a third party to use their membership card.
- When visiting us please ensure you have your membership card with you. Only the person who is pictured and named on the front can gain access to the Zoo.
- This membership scheme is not included in our reciprocal visit scheme.
- To take advantage of your membership discounts in the shop and restaurants you will need to show your valid card prior to payment. Unfortunately discounts cannot be given without the production of a valid membership card. This discount is valid for the length of the membership.
- Memberships do not constitute a full paying adult or child, therefore cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or discounts.
- Any lost, defaced or stolen cards will be cancelled and replaced at a nominal charge of £2 per card.
- If you move house, please update your details with us as soon as possible.
- We reserve the right to close all or part of the zoo as necessary. We will inform you of closures as soon as possible via our updates page on our websites.
- We will not tolerate physical/ verbal threats, intimidation or inappropriate behaviour towards our staff. Any member behaving inappropriately will be denied access, or asked to leave the zoo immediately. In these circumstances cancellation of your membership without refund may result. CHILDMINDER PASSES
- The Childminder Pass is only to be used when the registered childminder is working and cannot be used on weekends.
- The Pass cannot be used with your own family when you are not working.
- The Childminder Pass is valid for one adult, the named registered childminder, and 4 to 6 children in your care aged 0-12 years. Any children aged 0-15 years, in addition to the 4 to 6 children allocated on your Pass, must pay the standard child rate. All children under your care must be accompanied at all times.
- This Childminder Pass cannot be used in conjunction with any other zoo offers.
- Assistants will need to be Ofsted registered and must purchase their own Pass.
- Childminder Passes are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, not from the date of your first visit and cannot be extended.
- A digital photograph will be taken and printed onto your individual pass. Childminder Passes are not transferable or refundable once purchased.
- To take advantage of your Childminder Pass discounts in the shop and restaurant just show your Childminder Pass prior to payment. Unfortunately, discounts cannot be given without production of a valid Childminder Pass.
- A Pass found to be used fraudulently will be confiscated and not returned or refunded. We reserve the right to cancel your childminder pass, without refund, if a pass holder knowingly allows a third party to use their Pass.
- Any lost, defaced or stolen Passes will be cancelled and replaced at a nominal charge of £2 per card.
- If you move house or change email address, please update your details with us as soon as possible.
- We reserve the right to close all or part of our zoos as necessary. We will inform you of closures as soon as possible via our updates page on our websites.
- We will not tolerate physical or verbal threats towards our staff. Any pass holder behaving inappropriately will be denied access to, or asked to leave the zoo immediately. In these circumstances cancellation of your pass without refund may result.
EXPERIENCES
- All experiences must be booked and paid for at least one week in advance.
- If you cancel or change your experience within a week of it taking place you will be charged a £10 administration fee.
- All experiences are booked on a first come first served basis. Please do not assume your experience is booked until you have received your experience pack for the date stated, or you have had confirmation by telephone.
- You will be entering working environments; from time to time things may happen beyond our control and we may need to cancel your experience at short notice. If this happens you will be contacted via email or telephone at least 24 hours before your experience is due to take place. We recommend that you check your messages and emails before your visit in case we have contacted you.
- Minimum age limits apply to all experiences: Giraffe Experience, Giant Tortoise Experience and Junior Keeper- 7 years or over. Lion Experience and Keeper for the Day -16 years or over, , Echidna experience – 5 years and over. Kiwi Experience – 10 years and over. Croc Swamp Experience – over 1.2 metres tall
- For any children under the age of 16 or anyone requiring a carer, one adult is allowed entry behind the scenes for supervising purposes only.
- Full admission price must be paid for any guests including the supervising adult.
- Behind the scenes can be muddy and messy so please dress appropriately. Suitable clothing includes full length trousers and a lightweight coat in case of rain. For your safety closed toe shoes must be worn.
- Wheelchair access is only available with the Giraffe experience (but yard access only).
- Paignton Zoo reserves the right to cancel your experience if you arrive more than 10 minutes late without prior agreement and unfortunately your experience can not be rescheduled.

1. User obligation
- Use of this site constitutes your acknowledgement and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, which take effect on the date on which you first use the site. By accessing, using and/or downloading materials from this site, you agree on your own behalf and on behalf of each entity and person on whose behalf you act to abide by the terms and conditions set forth below. Paignton Zoo reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time by posting changes online and it is your responsibility to refer to and comply with these terms on accessing the site. Your continued use of this site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of these terms and conditions as modified.
- If these Terms and Conditions are not accepted in full, you do not have permission to access the contents of this site and therefore should cease using this site immediately.

5. Paignton Zoo Products
- All products and services mentioned in this site are subject to availability and are available at the sole discretion of Paignton Zoo Environmental Park. Furthermore, all references to Paignton Zoo products and services are intended to apply only in the United Kingdom.
6. Indemnity
- You agree to indemnify and keep indemnified Paignton Zoo from and against all claims, damages, expenses, costs and liabilities arising in any manner from your entry to and use of the site other than in accordance with these terms and conditions.
7. Law and jurisdiction
- These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England. Disputes arising here from shall be exclusively subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England. Any cause of action you may have with respect to your use of this site must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action arises.

WI-FI
