PAIGNTON ZOO ANNOUNCES “BLOOM & BREW” MOTHER’S DAY EXPERIENCE
Paignton Zoo is delighted to announce a special Mother’s Day celebration, the exclusive “Bloom & Brew” botanical tour and afternoon tea experience, perfect for treating the special women in your life this March.
This unique event offers visitors the opportunity to join Catherine Mortimer, Curator of Gardens at Paignton Zoo, for an intimate 90-minute guided tour through the zoo’s botanical treasures, followed by a traditional Devon cream tea and engaging Q&A session.
Catherine commented:
“We’ve created this experience specifically for Mother’s Day to offer something truly memorable. Our gardens are at their spring best, with picturesque bulb displays and unique plant collections that many visitors might otherwise overlook.”
The botanical journey begins at the zoo’s tranquil lakeside, showcasing spring bulbs in full bloom, before exploring the tropical wonders of the Crocodile Swamp exhibit with its fascinating collection of epiphytic bromeliads and exotic orchids. The tour concludes in the Arid Lands section, featuring striking desert plants including aloe vera and an impressive variety of cacti.
Following the tour, guests will enjoy a traditional Devon cream tea in the zoo’s restaurant while Catherine hosts an informal 30-minute Q&A session, offering expert gardening advice and answering questions about the botanical wonders on display.
