The original ancestors of this breed came from Africa and are now fully domesticated. Our goats are fed hay, grass and pellet.
Interesting facts!
- These little mammals are well known for their curious and friendly nature and will often have a nibble on anything that they find interesting!
- After mating, the gestation period lasts about 5 months. Females give birth to between 2 and 4 offspring, called kids.
Conservation
Pygmy goats have not been properly assessed by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). They are not considered to be endangered at this time.
